What type of vacuum cleaner should I buy on Black Friday?

The ultimate guide to choosing your vacuum cleaner

.

Black Friday is a good time to buy a good vacuum cleaner at the best price, but the most important thing is to choose just the vacuum cleaner that best suits your needs.
Let all the offers, do not go crazy

.

Appliance manufacturers are constantly evolving their products by implementing technological advances in devices and appliances. One of the fields in which the most evolution has been observed in recent years is that of household cleaning, more specifically floor vacuum cleaners. As a result, the consumer is somewhat overwhelmed with the emergence of new types of vacuum cleaners: bagless vacuum cleaners, robot vacuum cleaners, sleds, cyclonic, corded and cordless brooms, combined cleaning ... So it is not silly to ask: Which vacuum cleaner to buy?

What vacuum cleaner to buy?

Many times in appliance stores they offer usa multitude of options and describe the best vacuum cleaners on the market and extol their virtues, but they rarely ask us the most essential things:How is your home? How many times do you vacuum a week? Do you have dogs or cats?Because if your house has two floors and five rooms, maybe you don't need a robot vacuum cleaner; if you have two mastiffs sleeping in the living room, you have to vacuum three times a day; and if you live in a minimalist attic, maybe you don't need a 500 euro vacuum cleaner.

In the following list we will explain the pros and cons of the types of vacuum cleaners on the market and try to draw conclusions for each of them; we want you to be able to buy the ideal vacuum cleaner.

We want you to be able to buy the ideal vacuum cleaner.

Suction cleaner with sled bag

It is the classic cleaning ally of a lifetime: you vacuum, when the bag is full you change it for another, and that's it. The vacuum cleaner you had in your house when you were a child was probably this type of vacuum cleaner.

Pros:

Pros:

-Easy maintenance. The bag vacuum cleaner is the easiest to use. Virtually only the vacuum bags need to be changed, and they are usually inexpensive (you can find vacuum cleaner bags here)

).

-Affordable price. There is a wide range. But they have the best price/quality ratio in vacuum cleaners. If you're on a tight budget, maybe start here

.

-Different accessories for vacuuming different surfaces.

-Little breakdowns.

Contra:

.

-They have a cable and you have to drag them on the floor: they are quite uncomfortable, if you are going to vacuum twice a day, you will end up a little crazy. If you have stairs at home, they're not pleasant either.

.

Of the best for deep cleaning, with great power and fast maintenance. If you have a family with children you will need an all-rounder and simple appliance like this one.

Sled Bagless Vacuum Cleaner

The evolution of the previous one, bagless, with a multi-step defiltration system. No more looking for bags in stores (now you have to look for the filter)

.

Pros:

.

-You don't have to worry about changing bags anymore. And most of all: you'll never again go to set out to vacuum and realize you can't because you forgot to buy bags.

.

Contras:

.

-They are uncomfortable in use like the previous ones.

-Their maintenance is somewhat more laborious:filters, HEPA filters and tanks have to be cleaned frequently.

-Filters should be changed frequently so that their vacuuming capacity does not decrease (you can find vacuum filters here).

* There are sled vacuum cleaners that include a steam cleaner. While this may seem like a good idea in principle, having two devices in one (and as in the case of the Polti steam cleaners, of high quality), you should consider the volume and weight of the appliance before making a purchase.

* There are sled vacuum cleaners that include a steam cleaner.

Good vacuum cleaners for thorough cleaning, but with a somewhat more complicated maintenance. Of course, not depending on the change of bag makes them the perfect appliance for those who do not have time for the periodic purchase of the bag or the absent-minded. Of course, the power depends to a large extent on the condition of the filters.

Battery-powered brooms (cordless)

The incorporation of batteries in vacuum cleaners (efficiently) is relatively recent. This has meant a leap in the comfort of use of this appliance.

Pros:

Pros:

-These are really convenient to use appliances. Situ house has stairs, you know what I'm talking about. No cords, no dragging around a big appliance: vacuuming the house is almost like taking a walk with the dog, but without getting cold.

-The filter system is usually very efficient and easy to clean.

Contras:

-They are not very powerful. They are very well designed to take advantage of the power of a battery, but if you want a battle rotor, this isn't what you're looking for. This one is likely to be tualized daily, but weekend deep cleanings need uncomplimentary, probably a vacuum of the above two.

.

-A broom vacuum is still a broom, meaning you're not going to broom over furniture or under car seats. Although some incorporate attachments, they don't tend to be as versatile as sled vacuums.

* There are also some models of cordless floor-standing vacuum cleaners (Polti, Vorwerk and Hoover, for example), but we do not include them here because they have not been widely used in Spain, and are not currently present on the market.

Ideal partner for people with animals that have to vacuum 2 or 3 times a day. But they will need a complement for thorough cleanings. Very practical if you have several floors to vacuum the floor.

Vacuuming robots

Since some time ago they have started to impose themselves in our market. There is a huge range of this type of vacuum cleaners: programmable from the cell phone, with laser mapping and memory, or camera, even that make the route, literally, to blows. Within this huge range it is easy to get lost between features, various powers, autonomy and prices, so you have to be cautious with robot vacuum cleaners. They are the kings of comfort

Pros:

-They program and pass themselves. You can forget about daily cleaning. That's all you can ask for.

-The emptying and cleaning of the vacuum cleaner's tanks is usually simple and fast.

Contras:

-Still, like the previous ones needing an accessory for thorough cleanings: it has no attachments, so the robots, unfortunately, only clean the floor.

-If you have carpets or rugs the robotic vacuum cleaner is not capable of deep cleaning, they are battery operated devices, their cleaning ability relies heavily on the rollers that attract dirt. The wheels and rollers have a danger: if you have long-haired carpets, it's like putting them in the jungle at night, they'll go in, but chances are they won't come out.

-Today's good robot vacuums are mites. They have improved in all their capabilities, and the implementation of these technologies in the device is expensive. It is better not to be fooled and do not skimp on the investment.

.

The paradise of those who do not want to worry about daily cleaning has been invented. Ideal for medium and single-storey houses without many obstacles, which worsen the performance of the robot vacuum cleaner. A complement is also needed for thorough cleaning, but... you don't do that every day, do you?
