Cleaning my Rowenta ironing center

Cleaning of Rowenta ironing centers with removable tank (Rowenta unlimited autonomy ironing centers with autofill)

.

This tutorial is valid for Rowenta ironing centers of this type.

How to clean Rowenta ironing centers

.

Due to continued use of the iron with water, dirt can build up. When there is an excess of dirt and limes in the boiler of the ironing center, the iron seems to throw rust through the resistance, although in reality, what we see is a problem of mud. To begin with it is important, to prevent these problems:

.

  • Do not use distilled or flavored waters.
  • Do not use distilled or flavored waters.
  • Pour tap water through a Brita, BWT...
  • filter jug.

But sooner or later the accumulation of dirt eventually occurs. In these cases, the best thing to do is to clean the different parts of the ironing center.

Steps to clean side access irons

.

Follow these steps to clean your Rowenta side-access iron:

.

1. Remove the tank and the side plug. Here we will have access to the boiler.

.

2. Wand cleaning of lime deposit (if equipped, some Rowenta irons only have a side plug on the side of the boiler). The wand is normally cleaned with water and a scouring pad

.

3. Drain the boiler from the side of the appliance. Here you will start to see the first impurities coming out of the inside of the appliance.

4. With the special cleaning accessory for Rowenta irons connected to the boiler and a pressurized water tap, we fit one spout on the tap and one on the boiler of the Rowenta iron. By opening the faucet and introducing the pressurized water into the boiler, the inside of the boiler will be cleaned. Rinse the iron boiler until it is empty by shaking the boiler. NOW WE HAVE THE BOILER PART CLEANED!

.

But there is still dirt on the boiler outlet tubes and on the soleplate. So we are going to carry out a second part of the cleaning. To do this...

.

5. Set the thermostat of the griddle to about half temperature, so that the heating element is warm. We must begin to throw steam through the iron (at the beginning it will take some time because the boiler is completely empty). This first steam will continue to carry away mud residues.

.

6. Turn the iron upside down to help the dirt to come out, under the faucet while pressing the steam button intermittently. Gradually the dirt will come out and will be less and less inside the appliance.

.

7. Be careful before using the iron!, it is possible that even at the beginning of the next use you may get a little dirty steam, test the iron on an unusable cloth to make sure that everything works perfectly.
